Mitsubishi Outlander: Central door locks
Locking or unlocking driver’s door with the key or operating the central door
lock switch makes all doors and the boot lid (or tailgate) simultaneously locked
or unlocked.
NOTE
Each of the rear doors can be locked or unlocked independently by using the inside
lock button.

Driver’s door with key
1- Lock
2- Unlock

NOTE
If the boot lid (or tailgate) key cylinder remains in the ”Always lock” position
(A), the boot lid (or tailgate) cannot be unlocked by the central door lock operation.

Central door lock switch
1- Unlock
2- Lock
A- Vehicle equipped with manual window control
B- Vehicle equipped with electric
window control

Pull the release lever towards you to unlock the bonnet.

It is dangerous to drive with the boot lid (or tailgate) open since carbon
monoxide (CO) gas can enter the cabin.
You cannot see or smell CO. It can cause unconsciousness and even death.
Insert (or remove) the key when the boot lid (or tailgate) key cylinder is in
the vertical or the horizontal position.
Rotate the key to lock or unlock as shown in the illustration.

Brake warning display
This warning is displayed if you drive with the parking brake still applied.
The warning lamp in the instrument cluster only illuminates when the parking brake
is applied.
CAUTION
• If a vehicle is driven without releasing the parking brake, the brake will
be over
The use of snow tyres is recommended for driving on snow and ice. To preserve
driving stability, mount snow tyres of the same size and tread pattern on all four
wheels.
Snow tyres worn more than 50% are no longer suitable for use as snow tyres. Snow
