Mitsubishi Outlander: Side air bag system (front seat only)

The side air bags are contained in the driver and front passenger seatbacks.

The label shown here is attached to the seatbacks with a side air bag.
The side air bag is designed to inflate only on the side of the vehicle that
is impacted.

There is a supplemental restraint system (“SRS”) warning lamp on the instrument
panel. The system checks itself and the lamp tells you if there is a problem. When
the ignition key is turned
The entire SRS including air bag and pretensioner seat belt must be inspected
by an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer after 10 years.

Insert a straight blade (or minus) screwdriver at the edge of the lens, remove
the socket assembly and bulb together by turning it anticlockwise, and then remove
the bulb by pulling out.
NOTE
Wrap a piece of cloth around the straight blade (or mines) screwdriver in
order to avoid scratchin

► Never leave lighters, cans of carbonated drink, and spectacles in the cabin
when parking the vehicle in hot sunshine. The cabin will become extremely hot, so
lighters and other flammable items may catch fire and unopened drink cans (including
