Mitsubishi Outlander: Side air bag system (front seat only)

The side air bags are contained in the driver and front passenger seatbacks.

The label shown here is attached to the seatbacks with a side air bag.
The side air bag is designed to inflate only on the side of the vehicle that
is impacted.

There is a supplemental restraint system (“SRS”) warning lamp on the instrument
panel. The system checks itself and the lamp tells you if there is a problem. When
the ignition key is turned
The entire SRS including air bag and pretensioner seat belt must be inspected
by an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer after 10 years.

(1) Any maintenance performed on or near the components of

1- Firmly depress and hold the brake pedal, then pull the lever up without pushing
the button at the end of hand grip.
Caution
► When you intend to apply the parking brake, firmly press the brake pedal
to bring the vehicle to a complete stop before pulling the parking brake lever.

Sunroof
The sunroof can only be operated with the ignition switch in the “ON” position.
1- Open.
2- Tilt up.
3- Close, Tilt down.
To open, press the switch (1)
To stop the moving sunroof, press the switch (2) or (3).
