Mitsubishi Outlander: Rear hatch

► It is dangerous to drive with the rear hatch open since carbon monoxide Warning

► It is dangerous to drive with the rear hatch open since carbon monoxide (CO) gas can enter the cabin. You cannot see or smell CO. It can cause unconsciousness and even death.
► When opening and closing the rear hatch, make sure that there are no people nearby and be careful not to hit your head or pinch your hands, neck, etc.

 Inside rear hatch release

The inside rear hatch release is designed to provide a way to open the rear hatch in the case of a discharged battery. The rear hatch release lever (see illustration) is mounted on the rear hatch.
