Mitsubishi Outlander: To lock or unlock with the key

Note
► On vehicles equipped with the central door lock switch, when locking or unlocking
with the key, only the driver’s door will be locked or unlocked.
To lock or unlock all doors and the rear hatch, use the central door lock switch,
the keyless entry system or the keyless operation function.
Refer to “Central door locks”.
Refer to “Keyless entry system” on pages 1-04 and 1-23, and “To operate using
the keyless operation function”.
► If the vehicle is equipped with the keyless operation system, the door can
be locked or unlocked with the emergency key. Refer to “Emergency key”.

Pull the inside door handle towards you to open the door.
Note
► The driver’s door can be opened without using the lock knob by pulling on the
inside door handle.

► The driver’s door cannot be locked using the inside lock knob while the driver’s
door is opened.

The side airbags (A) are contained in the driver and front passenger seatbacks.
The side airbag is designed to inflate only on the side of the vehicle that is
impacted, even with no passenger in the front seat.
The label shown here is attached to the seatbacks with a side airbag.
The anti-theft lock is located on the top of the rear seatback. The cylinder
is operated with the master key (A).
When the lock is in the “LOCK” position, the seatback cannot be folded down by
using the seatback release button.
