Mitsubishi Outlander: AWC control fluid
To check the fluid level
The AWC control fluid reservoir is in the luggage compartment.
Note
► Check the fluid level in the reservoir 90 minutes or more after turning the
ignition switch to the “LOCK” position.
1. Remove the lid of the cargo floor box (A) on the right side.

2. Remove the cover (B) while pressing the top of the cover (B) and the hook
(C).

3. Check to make certain that the AWC control fluid level is always between the
“MAX” and “MIN” level markings on the fluid reservoir and top up the fluid, if necessary.

Note
► Do not spill the fluid onto the luggage compartment.
If fluid is spilled, wipe it up immediately.
4. To install the cover, perform the removal steps in reverse.

1. On vehicles equipped with wheel covers, first remove the covers (refer to
“Wheel covers”). Then loosen the wheel nuts a quarter turn with the
wheel nut wrench. Do not remove the wheel nuts yet.

The tachometer helps you to obtain more economical driving and also warns you
of excessive engine speeds (Red zone).

• When driving, watch the tachometer to make sure that the engine speed indication
does not rise into the red zo
