Exterior lights
A small amount of temporary condensation or fogging may appear inside the lenses of the Mitsubishi Outlander exterior lights during rain, after washing the vehicle, or when ambient conditions change rapidly.
This fogging can occur because of a temperature difference between the inside and outside surfaces of the lamp lens.
Light temporary condensation is not considered a malfunction. However, if large water droplets accumulate inside a lamp assembly or moisture does not clear, it is recommended that you have the light inspected by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer.
Headlights
Replacing
If replacement of an LED headlight assembly is required on the Mitsubishi Outlander, it is recommended that the work be performed by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer.
Headlight aim adjustment
Proper headlight alignment is important for visibility and to avoid excessive glare to other road users. Have the headlight aim checked and adjusted by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer or another qualified repair facility.
Exterior and interior lights
CAUTION
- Do not install commercially available LED replacement bulbs in locations not designed for them.
Aftermarket LED-type bulbs may interfere with the Mitsubishi Outlander electrical system and could prevent the lights or other vehicle equipment from operating correctly.
- When replacing a conventional bulb, always install a new bulb of the same specified type, wattage, and color.
Using an incorrect bulb can cause improper operation, failure to illuminate, overheating, electrical damage, or in some cases a risk of vehicle fire.
NOTE
- If the turn signal lamps and the turn signal/hazard indicators in the meter panel begin flashing noticeably faster than normal, one or more turn signal lights may be malfunctioning. Have the Mitsubishi Outlander inspected by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer.
