Mitsubishi Outlander climate control temperature sensors on the instrument panel

When both the engine coolant temperature and outside air temperature are low, airflow from the foot outlets may be temporarily reduced or unavailable. This is a normal operating condition and does not indicate a malfunction. Once the engine coolant warms sufficiently, airflow from the foot outlets will return to normal.

Sensors A and B, located on the instrument panel, help the Mitsubishi Outlander climate control system monitor conditions inside the passenger compartment and maintain the selected temperature.

Do not place objects on, over, or around these sensors, as doing so may interfere with proper temperature control operation.

Servicing air conditioner

WARNING

  • The air conditioning system contains refrigerant under high pressure. To reduce the risk of personal injury, servicing of the air conditioner should be performed only by an experienced technician using the proper equipment.

The air conditioning system in the Mitsubishi Outlander is charged with a refrigerant selected with environmental considerations in mind.

This refrigerant does not damage the earth's ozone layer. However, it may make a small contribution to global warming.

Specialized charging equipment and the correct lubricant are required when servicing the vehicle's air conditioning system. The use of improper refrigerants, lubricants, or service procedures can cause severe damage to air conditioning components.

An authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer can properly service the Mitsubishi Outlander air conditioning system using the appropriate equipment and materials.

Micron air filtration

The air conditioning system is equipped with micron air filtration. To help maintain effective heating, windshield defogging, ventilation, and overall climate control performance, replace the filter at the specified maintenance intervals. It is recommended that filter replacement be performed by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer.

The filter may require replacement if airflow through the ventilators decreases significantly or if the windows begin to fog more easily while the heater or air conditioner is operating.

Antenna

Shark fin antenna

The shark fin antenna is mounted on the rear portion of the Mitsubishi Outlander roof.
