The frameless digital rearview mirror is designed to maintain a clear view behind the Mitsubishi Outlander even when the normal rearward view is partially blocked by passengers, head restraints, luggage, or other objects inside the vehicle. A camera mounted at the rear of the vehicle sends a live image to the mirror display, allowing the driver to see the area behind the vehicle regardless of many interior obstructions. The system provides two operating modes: conventional rearview mirror mode and digital rearview mirror mode (camera view mode). The driver can switch between these modes using the mode select lever.
