WARNING
- Do not use, or allow an occupant to use, the seat heater if the person cannot adequately monitor increasing seat temperature or has a reduced ability to feel pain in areas of the body that contact the seat. Continued use under these conditions could result in serious injury.
CAUTION
- Do not operate the seat heater for unnecessarily long periods, particularly when the seat is unoccupied.
- Do not place insulating materials such as blankets, cushions, or seat covers over the seat while the heater is operating. Trapped heat may cause the seat to become excessively warm.
- Do not place hard or heavy objects on the seat, and do not pierce the seat surface with pins, needles, or similar sharp objects.
Such actions can damage the heating elements inside the seat.
- If liquid is spilled on a heated seat, remove it immediately using a dry cloth.
- When cleaning the seat, do not use gasoline, paint thinner, or similar solvents that could damage the seat material or heating components.
- If the heated seat does not operate correctly or any other malfunction is detected, turn the heater switch off and have the system inspected. It is recommended that you visit an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer for this service.
Front seats

Rear seats (if so equipped)

The front seats and second-row seats, if so equipped, are warmed by built-in heating elements. The front heated seat switches are located on the instrument panel, while the rear heated seat controls are positioned on the back of the center console box. Each seat heater can be operated independently, allowing occupants to select their preferred heat level.
Operation with switch
1. Start the engine.
2. Push the heated seat switch repeatedly to select the desired heating level.
- For high heat, push the switch once.
- For medium heat, push the switch twice.
- For low heat, push the switch three times.
- Indicator light 1 on the switch illuminates according to the selected heat level while the seat heater is operating.
3. To turn the seat heater off, continue pushing the heated seat switch until the indicator light goes out.
The seat heater is regulated by a control module that automatically cycles the heating element on and off to manage the selected level of warmth.
The indicator light remains illuminated for as long as the heated seat switch is turned on.
Once the Mitsubishi Outlander interior has warmed sufficiently, or before leaving the vehicle, switch the seat heater off rather than leaving it operating unnecessarily.
