The light reminder chime sounds when the driver's door is opened while the headlight switch is in the Mitsubishi Outlander parking light switch position or Mitsubishi Outlander headlight switch position position and the ignition switch is in the OFF position.

Switch the exterior lights off before leaving the Mitsubishi Outlander to prevent unnecessary battery discharge.

Brake pad wear warning

The disc brake pads are equipped with audible wear indicators that help alert the driver when replacement may be required.

When a brake pad reaches its wear limit, a high-pitched scraping sound may be heard while the vehicle is moving. At first, the sound may occur only when the brake pedal is pressed. As wear progresses, the noise may become continuous even when the brake pedal is not being applied. Have the brake system inspected as soon as possible whenever this warning sound is heard.
