Mitsubishi Outlander: Testing the system

Open all of the door windows, then set the Dead Lock System. (Refer to “Setting the system”.) After setting the Dead Lock System, reach into the vehicle through a window and confirm that you cannot unlock the doors using the lock knobs.

You can select the function to unlock the doors and rear hatch either using the ignition switch position or using the selector lever position (CVT) or the gearshift lever position (Twin Clutch SST). These functions are not activated when the vehicle is shipped from the factory. To activate or

Lift the seat adjusting lever and adjust the seat forward or backward to the desired position. After adjustment, release the adjusting lever to lock the seat in position. WARNING To ensure the seat is locked securely, attempt to move the seat forward or backward without using the lever.
