Mitsubishi Outlander: Towing
Your vehicle may be towed either by another vehicle with a rope, or by a tow
truck.
The regulations concerning towing may differ from country to country. It is recommended
that you obey the regulations of the country where you are driving your vehicle.
CAUTION
(1) In the following cases, please contact the MITSUBISHI dealer.
The
engine runs but the vehicle does not move.
Or abnormal noise is produced. No automatic
transmission fluid is in the transmission. (2) If the transmission is malfunctioning
or damaged, transport the vehicle using a tow truck. (Refer to the paragraph “Towing
the vehicle by a tow truck”.)

(1) This vehicle cannot be towed by a tow truck using Type A equipment
to prevent the bumper from deformation. If this vehicle is towed, use Type B, Type
C, Type D or Type E equipment. (2
If the water temperature gauge indication remains in the overheating zone for
a long time, the engine may be overheating. If this occurs, take the following corrective
measures :

The electrolyte level must be between the specified limit on the outside of the
battery. Replenish with distilled water as necessary.
The inside of the battery is divided into several compartments; remove the cap
from each compartment and fill to the upper mark. Do not top up beyond the upper

● Do not leave the lights on for a long time while the engine is stationary (not
running). A rundown battery could result.
● When it rains, or when the vehicle has been washed, the inside of the lens
sometimes becomes foggy, but this does not indicate a functional
