Mitsubishi Outlander: Selector lever position display
When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, the position of the selector lever is indicated in the multi-information display.

“P” PARK
This position locks the transmission to prevent the vehicle from moving. The
engine can be started in this position.

Sports mode
Whether the vehicle is stationary or in motion, sports mode is selected by gently
pushing the selector lever from the “D” (DRIVE) position into the manual gate (A).

Improper work on the SRS components or wiring could result in inadvertent deployment
of the airbags, or could render the SRS inoperative
Driver’s and front passenger’s airbag system
The driver’s airbag is located under the padded cover in the middle of the steering
wheel. The front passenger’s airbag is contained in the instrument panel above the
glove box.
The driver’s airbag inflates at two different rates according to the severity
of the impact.
