Mitsubishi Outlander overhead sunglasses holder between the sunvisors

WARNING

  • Keep the sunglasses holder closed while driving. Leaving it open may obstruct the driver's field of vision and increase the risk of an accident.

CAUTION

  • Use the compartment only for storing sunglasses. Do not place other objects in the holder.
  • Do not leave sunglasses in the holder when the Mitsubishi Outlander is parked in direct sunlight for an extended period. High interior temperatures may damage the sunglasses.

The sunglasses holder is located in the overhead area between the left and right sunvisors.

To open the holder, push and release it. Store only one pair of sunglasses in the compartment.

Luggage hooks

Luggage hooks A and B are positioned in the cargo area as illustrated and can be used to help secure suitable loads.

To use hook B, pull it outward as shown. Avoid placing excessive weight on hook A while it is in use, as overloading can damage or break the hook.

WARNING

  • Always make sure cargo is properly secured before driving. Use suitable ropes, straps, and the appropriate luggage hooks when necessary.
  • Unsecured cargo can move violently during sudden braking or a collision and may cause serious injury to vehicle occupants.
  • Do not apply a load greater than 6.6 lb (3 kg) to a single hook A or more than 44 lb (20 kg) to a single hook B.
  • Do not leave objects hanging from the luggage hooks when the vehicle interior is exposed to high temperatures, such as when parked in direct sunlight.

Coat hangers

The coat hangers are located above the rear side windows and are intended for lightweight clothing items.

WARNING

  • Do not place a separate clothes hanger, heavy object, or sharp item on the coat hanger. If the curtain airbag deploys, such an object could be propelled through the cabin with considerable force or interfere with proper curtain airbag inflation. Hang clothing directly from the built-in coat hanger without using an additional hanger, and make sure there are no heavy or sharp objects in the pockets of the garments being hung.

CAUTION

  • Do not apply a total load greater than 2 lb (1 kg) to a single coat hook.
