Front manual seat adjustment
Manually adjustable front seats allow the occupant to set the fore-and-aft position, seatback angle and, on the driver's side, seat height. Complete each adjustment before driving and confirm that the seat is securely locked afterward.
Forward and backward

1. Pull upward on adjusting lever 1 and hold it in the raised position.
2. Slide the seat forward or backward until the desired seating position is reached.
3. Release the adjusting lever to lock the seat in position, then gently move the seat to confirm that the locking mechanism is fully engaged.
Reclining

1. Pull upward on adjusting lever 2 while supporting the seatback with your body.
2. Tilt the seatback forward or backward until the desired angle is reached.
3. Release the adjusting lever to lock the seatback securely in position.
The reclining function allows the seatback angle to be adapted for occupants of different heights and body sizes, helping the lap and shoulder belt rest in the correct position. The seatback should remain as upright as practical whenever the vehicle is moving.
The seatback may be reclined farther to allow an occupant to rest only when the Mitsubishi Outlander is safely parked.
Seat lifter (Driver's seat only)

Pull the adjusting lever upward or push it downward repeatedly to raise or lower the driver's seat. Continue operating the lever until the desired seat height and driving position are achieved.
Lumbar support (Driver's seat only)

The lumbar support function provides additional support for the driver's lower back and can help maintain a more comfortable posture during longer journeys.
Press the appropriate side of the switch as illustrated to adjust the lumbar area. Continue adjusting until a comfortable level of lower-back support is achieved without forcing the driver forward in the seat.
Front power seat adjustment
On Mitsubishi Outlander models equipped with power-adjustable front seats, the seat position can be changed using the switches mounted on the side of the seat. Operate one control at a time and release the switch as soon as the preferred position is reached.
Operating tips
- The power seat motor is protected by an automatic-reset overload circuit. If the motor stops while the seat is being adjusted, release the switch, wait approximately 30 seconds and then operate the control again.
- To prevent unnecessary battery discharge, avoid operating the power seats repeatedly or for an extended period when the engine is not running.

Forward and backward
Move adjusting switch 1 forward or backward in the direction you want the seat to travel. Release the switch when the Mitsubishi Outlander front seat reaches the desired position.
Reclining
Move adjusting switch 2 forward or backward to change the angle of the seatback. Release the switch once the preferred position has been reached.
The power reclining function allows the seatback angle to be adjusted for occupants of different sizes and helps establish the correct fit of the lap and shoulder belt. For normal driving, the seatback should remain upright enough to keep the occupant securely positioned against the seat.
The seatback may be reclined to provide a more relaxed resting position when the vehicle is parked and will not be driven.
Seat lifter (Driver's seat only)

Move the switch in the illustrated direction to raise or lower the seat, or to adjust the angle of the front portion of the seat cushion. Set the seat so the driver has a clear view, comfortable pedal reach and adequate clearance from the steering wheel.
Lumbar support (Driver's seat only)

The lumbar support function provides adjustable support for the driver's lower back, helping the driver maintain a stable and comfortable seating posture.
Press the switch in the direction shown to increase or reduce support in the lumbar area. Release the switch when the desired position is achieved.
